Life is full of 3 word phrases, some little and some big. Some phrases we wait what seems like a lifetime to hear, and some we dread hearing. Some 3 word phrases will change your life forever – seriously, 3 little words. Our lives from start to finish, young to old, are filled with 3 word phrases.

What Kind of Child of God Are You?

Are you a people pleasing Child of God?

Are you a work-harder-than-everyone-else-to-prove-your-worth Child of God?

Are you a Child of God who isn’t good enough?

Are you a Child of God who compares yourself to others?

Are you a keeping up with the Jones’ Child of God?

On my daily irrigating run with my husband this week, I noticed this rusty nail in this rusty fence post, and it caught my attention.

That morning as I headed out on my walk, I forgot my sunglasses and the Lord had painted one very bright, sunshiny morning. I headed out to the west for 1/2 mile and the sun was blinding. As the sun was making it hard to see, I was reminded of the hymn, “Amazing Grace”.

Exactly 1 year ago, I shared this picture on my personal Facebook page and wrote these words, "Fall is proof that change is beautiful!"

In this last year, there has been so.much.change.

I AM good enough for God, and that's good enough for me. 4 years ago to the day, I wrote those words in my journal and repeated them over and over.

Satan called a worldwide convention. In his opening address to his evil angels, he said, "We can't keep Christians from going to church. We can't keep them from reading their Bibles and knowing the truth. We can't even keep them from conservative values. But we can do something else. We can keep them from forming an intimate, abiding relationship experience in Christ. If they gain that connection with Jesus, our power over them is broken. So let them go to church, let them have their conservative lifestyles, but steal their time, so they can't gain that experience in Jesus Christ. This is what I want you to do, angels. Distract them from gaining hold of their Savior and maintaining that vital connection throughout their day!"

The words are written in red, meaning those are Jesus’ words. Read them again. Did you catch it? Jesus says HE is THE way, THE truth and THE life. We look to worldly things to satisfy a longing inside of us, but it only leaves us hungry for more. We are never truly satisfied.

Matthew 4:19 (ESV): “And he said to them, ‘Follow me, and I will make you fishers of men.’”
